The first things I bought at the start of this cold snap was thermal underwear and socks. Luckily I bought enough to change as I have never been without them for the last few weeks, and never mind the fancy boots, good walking boots or snow boots are the answer, with this and porridge in the morning you can go anywhere. The place has been looking great with the crisp snow and brilliant sunshine it has been ideal for sledging and skating on the burn. Conditions up Aonach Mor have been great for skiing and we have been very fortunate in that the roads have never been closed on the west coast. Thankfully our houses are well insulated, warm and cosy, so life has been wonderful.<br /><br />Hope you are all well and surviving the cold.
